John Legend's letter to Barrack Obama

American singer, John Legend  has written an open letter to President Barack Obama begging him “to bring justice to the thousands of families of non-violent drug offenders” before he leaves office because he wasn’t sure the Trump administration would do anything about it when it comes into power.

"First of all, I would like to thank you for your friendship and for your outstanding service to our country,” the singer wrote in the letter, published by Rolling Stone. “I’m particularly grateful for the concrete steps your administration has taken to provide opportunities to tens of millions of young people and families who have been impacted by mass incarceration.
It is unclear what their priorities will be and when families can expect justice.”  According to a report published by the Pew Research Center on Dec. 9, Obama “has granted clemency to more people convicted of federal crimes than any chief executive in nearly 50 years.” As of Nov. 30, he’s “granted clemency to 1,093 individuals (the vast majority convicted of drug-related offenses).” In his letter, Legend later urged Obama “to consider issuing categorical commutations to bring an end to the injustice that remains in our federal sentencing schemes.
Just as George W. Bush urged you to proactively address clemency on your way to your first inauguration in 2009, I am asking you to bring justice to thousands of families by granting as many clemencies as possible before you leave office.

approximately 5,000 individuals are serving sentences based on prejudiced laws which punished drug crimes involving crack cocaine more severely than crimes involving powder cocaine. Rectifying these crack-powder disparities would not only correct the mistakes of the past, but could save taxpayers just over $150 million per year and keep with public sentiment about the over-incarceration and criminalization of drug crimes."

Davido says he is being jazzed

Omo baba olowo (OBO), Davido, has raised an alarm that he has been facing a spiritual ‘Juju’ attack from someone he knows but wouldn’t name. The singer brought his predicament to public knowledge via his SnapChat. The singer, however, asserted that the ‘Juju’ would not work on him as he was fortified with the ‘blood of Jesus’

He posted, “No Juju Ull do will work for me!!! BABA GOD BY MY SIDE … u know urself. I’m covered with the blood of Jesus… my friends my family my work my life.. AMEN”

Toke Makinwa lied in her book

Well known OAP, Vlogger and now author, Toke Makinwa who recently wrote a memoir titled "On Becoming"  lied in some of the details she provided in the book. 

In the book, she claimed that her husband cheated on her and impregnated his ex while they were married.

According to her version of the story, six months into dating Maje, she saw a picture of him with another woman on Facebook. Meanwhile, by calculations, people are saying this might be a lie, as she claims to have seen the picture between 2002 and 2003 when Facebook only came into existence in 2004.
The book exclusively covers details of her marriage to ex-husband and lover of eight years which was not all rosy as purported by the media.

Wizkid is sick!

Despite the fact that he is still basking in the euphoria of being tagged in Drake’s Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, Nigerian talented, Wizkid, has cancelled his much talked about Homecoming Show scheduled for late December 30 this year , as well as all other dates for the rest of the year and January 2017.

He explained this in an apology he made to his fans in Nigeria and Uganda, Wizkid said that he took the action following the advice of his doctors. He however reassured them he would to be back, stronger and better, promising new music before the end of the year.

Tonto Dike says she didn't know she'd marry her husband

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dike, has stated that her husband ‘Churchill’ loves her so much that he doesn’t want to hear any negative thing about her.

She adds that he simply deletes anyone from his phone whenever they say negative things about his wife.

The actress, who took a break in acting right after marriage reveals in an interview with an online TV, that her husband has no reservations about being with her and seeing her as Tonto.

Lynxx gives a surprising response to fan who mocked him

Chukie Edozie popularly known as Lynxxx who is known for flaunting his new found love in Christ seems to have made enemies as some people are not happy with the fact he is now a born again.

Uzezi Simon, a Twitter user, when he was asked to check Lynxxx’s page for his birthday photos and he wondered what he would see there because Lynxxx is now born again and very boring.
